' Bulldog Bound' program warranties admission to Fresno State for eligible high school students

FRESNO, Calif. (BNN)-- Many high school trainees across the Central Valley have the ability to breathe a bit much easier understanding they'& #x 27; re guaranteed admission into Fresno State when they finish.
Phong Yang, the interim Associate Vice President for Strategic Enrollment at Fresno State, states the "" Bulldog Bound"" program aims to offer students a fantastic opportunity for their four-year degree.
"" It'& #x 27; s a very exciting program for Fresno State, and I think for our neighborhood also due to the fact that it truly provides a clear and tangible path for high school students to go to Fresno State,"" he said.
The Bulldog Bound program was released in September.
It ensures admission for high school students who are from partnering school districts throughout the Valley and fulfill the minimum California State University requirements.
Students can dedicate as early as 9th grade, and team member deal with the trainees and parents so they feel confident about their choices.
"" We offer them with a great deal of info about the college-going experience, the requirements, financial assistance, scholarships and career awareness,"" Fong said.
More than 2,000 students have currently committed given that the program launched.
Of those, more than 700 are from Kings Canyon Unified School District, consisting of Reedley High.
Senior Joclyne Chavez is among those students.
She became aware of the program through AVID, a college preparation class at school.
