21-year-old dies in Modesto motorcycle crash

(FOX40.COM) - - According to California Highway Patrol, a 21-year-old guy has died after crashing a motorbike into the back of another cars and truck in Modesto.

The occurrence occurred on Thursday morning simply after 5:30 on SR-99 heading north, simply south of Hammett Road.

Authorities stated they got calls of a collision and noticed a guy lying within the northbound lanes SR-99 upon arrival.

A preliminary investigation exposed that a man was approaching Hammett Road in a 2010 Mercedes sedan when inbound traffic required him to slow down.

Behind him was a motorcyclist, who was taking a trip at an unknown speed, and crashed into the Mercedes' back. The crash triggered the motorcyclist to be ejected from the bike.

The 21-year-old was stated dead after being transferred to a local health center, officials said.

Alcohol and/or drugs do not appear to be a factor in the crash, CHP included.
