In a disturbing turn of events, a 55-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting several women in Mira Mesa, posing as a licensed massage therapist. The San Diego Police Department (SDPD) made the announcement on Tuesday, shedding light on the alarming details of this case.
Christopher Scott Preston allegedly operated a business named 360 Wellness and Consulting. According to police reports, he used platforms like GroupOn to promote his services, offering enticing discounts for what he described as “lymphatic drainage massages.” However, the reality behind these promotions was far more sinister.
The San Diego Police Department is urging anyone who may have been affected or who witnessed any suspicious activity to come forward. Victims are encouraged to contact the SDPD Sex Crimes Unit at (619) 531-2210. Alternatively, they can reach out to San Diego Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477 to provide information anonymously.
This case raises critical questions about public safety and the measures in place to protect individuals seeking wellness services. It highlights the importance of verifying the credentials of service providers in an age where fraudulent practices can easily go unnoticed.
