Across the country warrant provided for MTV truth show alum

ORLAND PARK, Ill. (WGN-TV)-- A warrant has actually been issued for a former MTV truth show candidate implicated of interacting with investigators who were posing as a minor woman.

Connor Smith, 32, is facing an across the country warrant after authorities showed up to detain him at his home in Orland Park, Illinois, on Thursday. He was able to escape in his black pickup, authorities said.

Smith is implicated of interacting with undercover investigators who were posing as a girl under the age of 15. He presumably sent out specific images and videos of himself and after that made arrangements to meet the "girl.".

Charges of grooming, taking a trip to satisfy a minor and sharing hazardous product were approved for the warrant. The warrant's bond is listed at $1,000,000.

Smith appeared on the 3rd season of the MTV dating show "Are You the One?" in 2015, according to United States Weekly.

Authorities stated Smith suggested he would turn himself in, but has stopped working to do so. Anyone who sees him is asked to call police.
