Aeroverse cleared to take off with air travel enthusiasts, industry

The sky's the limitation as local aviator/airport owner employs television veterans to copilot a network dedicated to flight..

Longtime pilot and private-airport owner Charles Cook questioned why there wasn't a network with material for him and the thousands of others who have an interest in or devotion to the air travel market..

Following a meeting with Michael Fletcher, a television industry veteran and co-founder of equestrian lifestyle channel Ride TV, Cook chosen to get an air travel network off the ground.

On Nov. 15 at Flying Oaks Airport, 5920 Silver Creek Road in Azle, just outside the city limits of Fort Worth, Cook, Fletcher and others officially announced the brand-new network, Aeroverse. The goal is to produce a variety of content varying from programs on remediation, space expedition and air travel history to other topics that include humans taking to the skies.

Aeroverse has programs prepared to broadcast, even though it doesn't get off the ground until Dec. 17. Why Dec. 17? That was the day in 1903 that Wilbur and Orville Wright took their first flight in Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina.

" That's simply the ideal day," Cook said.

Prepare invested much of his profession flying for FedEx before buying the airport, which now has 12 garages.

" I'm fired up, and individuals in the market are excited, too," he stated. "I want Aeroverse to get individuals excited about the industry and its possibilities and, ideally, draw them into it.".

Nathan Fletcher, another veteran of Ride television and Michael Fletcher's child, is in charge of programs for Aeroverse. He stated there are lots of "speciality banners" out there focused on topics like physical fitness, horror or documentaries.

" We wish to be that speciality banner for the aviation and aerospace community," he said.

Access to the network will cost $8.99 a month or $89 every year.

Fletcher stated the aviation neighborhood is large, and he expects to generate lots of audiences. Aeroverse likewise has a strategic relationship with the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, providing them discount rates and other incentives to join the network.

When it comes to programming material, one show from Ezell Aviation out of Breckenridge, Texas, will concentrate on the restoration of historical airplane. Other programs will cover unmanned flight and area travel.

One goal of the network is to inspire individuals-- in specific, trainees-- to enter into the aviation market.

" I believe if individuals watch some of our shows, they'll become interested," stated Cook.

Sid Miller, commissioner of the Texas Department of Agriculture, was at the launch. He said air travel is key to the economy of Texas and he hopes the channel will assist keep the state at the forefront of the market.

" We've got SpaceX, Blue Origin here in the state, entering into space at the really top end of air travel, and then you've got your farmers and ranchers who utilize planes for a variety of usages," he stated. "It's crucial to a state as huge as Texas. We require it.".
