Amarillo Authorities Department to remember fallen officers at wreath-laying event

AMARILLO, Texas (BNN)-- Amarillo Police will be keeping in mind fallen officers throughout the Law Enforcement Wreath Laying Ceremony beginning at 11 a.m. on May 15 at the Llano East Cemetery Field of Honor.

In 1962, President Kennedy made a proclamation declaring May 15 as National Peace Officer Memorial Day. This year, it will also fall throughout National Police Week.
