Election results on the High Plains: May 6, 2023 local elections
" For the 3rd straight week, customers have been welcomed by falling fuel rates throughout a bulk of the country, thanks to oil costs holding near current lows and the shift to summertime fuel being basically total. While there have been a few pockets of increasing costs, those have been the needle in the haystack, with nearly each and every single state seeing gas costs fall," stated Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy. "In addition to fuel rates decreasing, the typical cost of a gallon of diesel will sign up with gas in the days ahead, falling below $4 per gallon in the next 48 hours or two, a sign of how far we've come. Americans are spending hundreds of millions less on fuel each week compared to a year earlier, and that's a number that might rise further as costs are poised to continue trending lower today."
