DENVER (BNN) - - The
Springfield Police Department jailed a guy on Saturday night who was supposedly driving while intoxicated and got lost. When approached by police, officers said the guy attempted to change locations with his pet who was in the guest seat.
Police said the incident started around 11:30 p.m. near 7th and Main Street in
Springfield, which remains in the far southeast part of the state, when a motorist was allegedly captured speeding at 52 mph in a 30-mph zone.

The officer said they saw the driver attempt to change locations with his dog who was in the traveler seat when authorities approached and stopped the chauffeur.
Authorities said the guy got out of the traveler side of the automobile and claimed he was not driving. The officer said the male revealed clear indications of intoxication, and when they asked him about just how much alcohol he took in, the guy ranged from the officer.
The officer said the male was nabbed less than 20 backyards away.

During the examination, police discovered the guy was driving from Las Animas to Pueblo and got lost in
Springfield.
The Baca County Sheriff's Office was called to assist with the examination.
The guy had two active warrants for his arrest out of Pueblo. Police said he was scheduled into the Baca County Jail when he was clinically cleared.

He was also charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, driving while ability impaired, driving under suspension, speeding 20-24 miles per hour over, and resisting arrest.
