( BNN) HOUSTON – – The
Houston Police Department is investigating an officer-involved shooting that happened Thursday afternoon in the 4400 block of Brady Street in the East End.
At about 5:06 p.m.
Houston police got a call about a burglary happening at an insurance coverage company located in the 6800 block of Harrisburg. Within minutes after that, another burglary was reported at 6400 Brady Street, just a few miles away from the very first break-in.
The suspect was described as a Hispanic male in his late 20's to early 30's who was riding a scooter.

After canvasing the location, officers situated the suspect and offered voice commands. Cops say the suspect declined to comply then ran away. Officers offered chase and a some point they stated the suspect pulled out and weapon fired chance ats the officers.
The officers returned fire hitting the suspect. Police say they tried to provide help, but reported the suspect died on the scene.
HPD says the officer involved was not hurt during the shooting. Police add there is no risk to the public.
The officer is a 30-year-veteran. He's been placed on important event administrative leave which is typical procedure with all officer-involved shootings.
Due to the fact that there had actually been other break-ins in the location with the same suspect description, authorities say they had been looking for the suspect.
Body worn video camera will be released in 30 days.
