At just 16 years old, Cameron Carraway isn’t just speeding around racetracks—he’s also making a difference in the lives of children with autism. The young auto racing prodigy has turned his passion into a force for good, raising awareness and funding for autism support through his nonprofit, Joshua’s Gift. His journey is proof that age is no barrier to creating meaningful change.
Cameron’s love for racing began early, but it was a personal connection that steered him toward advocacy. After meeting a young boy with autism at a racing event, he was inspired to take action. "Seeing how much joy racing brought him, I knew I had to do something," Cameron explained. That moment led to the birth of Joshua’s Gift, named in honor of his friend.
Despite his heavy racing schedule, Cameron remains committed to his nonprofit. "Racing is my passion, but helping others is my purpose," he says. His efforts have already raised thousands, and he isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
With plans to expand his outreach, Cameron hopes to inspire other young athletes to use their platforms for good. "If I can make a difference while doing what I love, anyone can," he adds.
