Calm after the storm; bright Friday

Jessica Blum,

Road conditions have improved if you got to delight in a snow day yesterday and chances are life starts back up once again today. Maps currently show most roads around southeast Nebraska where most of the snow failed Thursday afternoon are still partly covered (listed below as of 6 a.m. Friday early morning).

Slick areas were still obvious on the morning commute into work, too. Inspect here for the most updated road details as you plan your early morning.

We’& rsquo; ve got a cold start looking at conditions Friday morning. Sub-zero temperature level readings near the airport have revealed evidence of cold air pooling, however around town, temperatures remain in the single digits simply above no.

Any low clouds or patchy fog that is possible will quickly burn, leaving us with plenty of sunlight.

Usually, a good southwesterly breeze would help us to heat up quite a bit. The most significant distinction now & hellip; snow cover. Fresh snow will keep us cooler this afternoon as heats warm a few degrees above freezing. Some areas that have actually been cooler than us off to the north and west will be a bit warmer today as the functions reverse with our snow.

With Friday comes ideas about the upcoming weekend. The sun will stick around once again on Saturday with partly to primarily warm skies.

Rainfall chances hold off through the beginning of next week. February is usually one of our snowiest months, so it comes at no surprise that snow will be possible once again by Tuesday and Wednesday. It’& rsquo; s too early for finer details yet, but peaceful and mild for now.
