(FOX40.COM) - - California Highway Patrol announced that it will run a DUI checkpoint in the Yuba-Sutter location on Saturday.
The checkpoint will be kept in an unincorporated area of Sutter County from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.

According to CHP, Drug Recognition Experts will be on-site to provide, "on-the-spot assessments of motorists believed of substance abuse."
Officers will also be geared up with "modern portable breath screening devices, which offer an accurate step of blood alcohol concentrations of believed intoxicated motorists."
" Our goal is to make sure the safe passage of each driver by targeting roads where there is a high frequency of dui," CHP stated in a press release.
The agency continued, "A sobriety checkpoint is an efficient tool for attaining this goal and is designed to augment existing patrol operations. By publicizing our efforts we believe that we can discourage motorists from drinking and driving."
