Los Angeles Coast Guard workers reacted to reports of a girl on the Emerald Princess cruise liner who was suffering seizure-like signs and needed to be left from the ship, according to a USCG news release.
A Coast Guard helicopter crew was dispatched from
San Diego to airlift the young girl from the ship, which was off the coast of Santa Barbara. When the teams arrived on scene, they raised her and her mom and carried them to Harbor UCLA Medical.
The toddler is now in steady condition.
