**Breaking Now News: Bowen Yang Nominated for Emmy Award**
Bowen Yang has been nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. This nomination marks his fourth Emmy nomination for his work on "Saturday Night Live."
The Colorado native has previously received nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series in 2021 and 2022. Additionally, he was recognized with an Emmy nomination in 2019 for his writing contributions to "SNL."
In addition to his continued role on "Saturday Night Live," which is set to celebrate its 50th season this fall, Yang, a graduate of Aurora's Smoky Hill High School, will also be appearing on the big screen this Thanksgiving.
Yang has filmed a role in the two-part movie adaptation of "Wicked," with the first installment hitting theaters on Nov. 22. The second part is scheduled for Thanksgiving 2025.
The 2024 Primetime Emmy Awards will take place on Sunday, Sept. 15, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles and will be broadcast on ABC. The nominees were announced six months following the last Emmy Awards, which were delayed due to strikes by writers and actors.
