Costa Mesa Police Bust Meth Operation and Seize Ghost Gun After Fight: Two Suspects Arrested

Breaking Now News: Police Seize Ghost Gun and Methamphetamine After Responding to Disturbance Call

Over the weekend, Costa Mesa police officers rushed to the 1800 block of Newport Boulevard following reports of a large group of individuals, one potentially armed with a handgun, engaged in a brawl near a local bar.

Upon arrival, law enforcement spotted a suspect attempting to flee the scene in a rideshare vehicle. The officers swiftly apprehended the individual.

Another suspect was discovered in close proximity to the scene.

A thorough search of the area led to the discovery and confiscation of a loaded "ghost" gun, an unserialized and untraceable firearm, along with nearly an ounce of methamphetamine.

Both individuals were taken into custody by the authorities.

What do you think?

  • Do you believe ghost guns should be banned entirely?
  • Should there be stricter penalties for those found in possession of untraceable firearms?
  • How can communities work together to address the issue of illegal substances like methamphetamine?
