Found about a half-mile from city limitations, northeast of the Mace Boulevard curve, the almond tree orchard, formally owned by the Gill Family, will end up being maintained farmland and open space.

The $960,000 home will be owned in collaboration with the City of Davis and the Yolo Land Trust, which will be in charge of monitoring the easement.

A portion of the funds used to purchase the 2024 residential or commercial property originated from Davis' open space protection parcel tax started through Measure O and open area advancement effect charges.

" The City and the Yolo Land Trust were both interested in securing this land because of its distance to the City limits, its place near other safeguarded farmland and its prime agricultural soils," the city composed in a press release.
