Denver weather: Heat returns Sunday, storm opportunities ahead


DENVER (BNN)-- Warm temperature levels and highs in the 90s go back to the Denver weather condition projection on Sunday alongside the continued possibility for afternoon showers and storms.

Weather tonight: Clearing, mild



Spread showers and thunderstorms remain through the evening before clearing Saturday night. It will be on the breezy side with southeasterly winds gusting as much as 30 mph.

Temperature levels will fall to the lower 60s, which is about 5 degrees warmer than regular for this time of year.



Weather tomorrow: 90s return



Summer season heat returns on Sunday.

Sunday will begin with a mainly sunny sky. As high temperatures climb to the 90s, clouds will increase ahead of the chance for a couple of showers and storms through the late afternoon and night.

Looking ahead: Staying warm, more storm chances



Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday will follow the same pattern of sunlight in the early mornings followed by a possibility for some showers and thunderstorms by the afternoon.

Temperatures all 3 days will be near season, reaching the upper 80s to lower 90s.



July 4 is on track to be generally sunny with an afternoon high near 90 degrees, and a separated chance for a shower or thunderstorms by the afternoon. Thursday night, temperature levels in Denver will be up to the 70s after sundown during fireworks display screens.
