Gonzaga Bulldogs fans, rejoice! One of your favorite players is finally getting his shot in the NBA. Drew Timme, the record-breaking forward who became the face of Gonzaga basketball, has inked a deal with the Brooklyn Nets, sources confirmed today.
While some analysts questioned whether Timme's old-school post game would translate to today's NBA, the Nets clearly see potential in the 6'10" big man. Brooklyn's roster currently lacks traditional big men, opening the door for Timme to carve out a role as:
"Timme might be the steal of this free agency period," said NBA analyst Mark Jackson. "His basketball IQ is off the charts, and in the right system, he could be a real contributor."
