Drunk driver involved in fatal Yuba County car crash

(FOX40.COM) - - One man is dead after two different auto accident in Yuba County, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Around 1:20 a.m. on Saturday, a 55-year-old Olivehurst man was driving his red Nissan sedan south on Highway 70 when for unidentified factors he diverted off the highway at the Feather River exit. His vehicle went off the ramp and crashed into several trees before rolling back into the highway and blocking both lanes of traffic, according to CHP. The driver died at the scene.

After, CHP stated a 20-year-old Vacaville female in a white 2015 Audi A4 was driving southbound while intoxicated when she crashed into the formerly crashed Nissan. She was jailed under suspicion of misdemeanor DUI and scheduled into the Yuba County prison.

The identity of the Nissan driver is being withheld till next of kin is alerted.
