Education Credit Union Foundation, Workforce Solutions Panhandle host finalizing days for regional students

AMARILLO, Texas (BNN) – – According to details launched by the Education Credit Union Foundation and Workforce Solutions Panhandle, the two organizations will continue their streak of 5 profession finalizing days on Monday for students headed into specific fields.

The combined singing day events, stated organizers, are concentrated on students pursuing education for tasks connected to welding, vehicle, certified nursing assistants, and woodworking. Together with the finalizing day, the ECU Foundation is anticipated to donate $1,000 scholarships to those trainees to enhance their next action in education.

According to organizers, trainees picked by teachers or counselors for the scholarships fulfill requirements such as:



  • Being an existing high school senior;


  • Being a "hardworking, dedicated, and motivated trainee;"

  • Enrolled in a Career and Technical Education (CTE) field;

  • Will be enrolled in fall classes at a regional community college or registered in a local apprenticeship;

  • Will be registered in college or an apprenticeship in the fall;

  • Having completed the FAFSA;

  • Not be getting THRIVE or other scholarships; and

  • Being able to participate in the "finalizing day" event.

The signing schedule released by organizers, as well as the recipient students, consists of:



  • West Texas High School, Welding – – April 27


  • River Road High School, Welding – – April 28

  • Dumas High School, CNA and/or Welding – – May 9

  • Hereford High School, Automotive – – May 11
  • Amtech Career Academy, Carpentry – – May 16
