An exciting lineup of California-based music artists is set to perform during the handover celebration to Los Angeles at the Paris Olympics Closing Ceremony. The star-studded event will showcase the best of LA culture to a global audience.
The performers include Snoop Dogg, Billie Eilish, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, with H.E.R. already announced to sing the U.S. national anthem in Paris. LA28 Chairperson Casey Wasserman expressed his excitement, calling it the biggest moment in LA28 history.
Snoop Dogg, who has been a standout star at the Paris Games, will also play a key role in the LA28 celebration. Organizers teased "additional surprise guests" and hinted at a potential appearance by Tom Cruise, although not confirmed.
During the Closing Ceremony, LA28 will have a 15-minute slot before the official Olympic flag handover. The event has been named "Records" and promises to be a visually spectacular show, blending past and future themes.
After the Closing Ceremony, NBC and Peacock will air a "Countdown to LA28" special hosted by Venus Williams, described as the "world's biggest beach party." The celebration will give fans a taste of what's to come in 2028.
