Mark your calendars for an unforgettable celebration! The Akron City Festival is set to take over downtown Akron on September 1st from 12 PM to 6 PM at the vibrant Lock 3’s Backyard on Bowery Street. The parade will commence near the Spaghetti Warehouse parking lot at 510 S. Main St. and will head north along Main Street, culminating at the Lock 3 Backyard Stage. This is a fantastic opportunity for local organizations to participate and show community pride!
Akron Mayor Shammas Malik expressed his enthusiasm for the festival, stating, “The Akron City Festival is a great way to bring our community together and celebrate back-to-school time for our students. We want to start off their academic year with a fun, celebratory event that helps set the tone and puts them on a path for a joyful, successful year.”
