Grand theft suspect hospitalized after getting hit by lorry on 15 Freeway in Eastvale

A guy looked for by Riverside County sheriff's deputies on suspicion of grand theft was hospitalized Saturday after he ran onto the southbound 15 Highway in Eastvale and was struck by at least one vehicle, authorities said.

Deputies responded to a call of two men taking products from a business in the 12300 block of Limonite Avenue right before 3:40 p.m. and found the 2 guys leaving business as they showed up, Sgt. Wenndy Brito-Gonzalez stated.

The two males ran in various instructions, with one headed towards the highway, she stated. Deputies lost sight of the second suspect.

Both males were believed to be in their 30s, Brito-Gonzalez stated.

The injured suspect was required to a health center, but information on the seriousness of his injuries was not immediately readily available.
