(FOX40.COM) –– Non-profit groups found in the city of Sacramento can use to receive approximately $800 to host a neighborhood clean-up event through a City of Sacramento Recycling and Solid Waste clean-up grant to assist pay for products, disposal, and even gas for transport.
According to the City of Sacramento, the funds are to support programs or occasions that get rid of and collect trash and particles or weeds and green waste from public right-of-way in the city of Sacramento.
" This grant was developed to support local groups who want to assist clean up Sacramento streets and public locations, particularly those worried about unlawful discarding concerns," stated Jesa David, spokesperson for the Recycling and Solid Waste Division in a recent news release. "You can utilize the funds to pay for disposal fees, protective gear, or perhaps reward your group with a pizza party."
Neighborhood associations, volunteer groups and other formally organized not-for-profit groups can apply.
