ZEBULON, N.C. (WNCN) - - Zebulon authorities say they have made an arrest this weekend in an armed bank burglary from last month.
The break-in happened around 9:30 a.m. on February 7 at the PNC Bank at 300 N. Arendell Ave., according to the Zebulon Police Department.

" The suspect pointed a gun at the teller, required and got away with a concealed quantity of cash," authorities stated at the time.

After grabbing cash during the getting, throughout man burglary from the guy. K-9 teams browsed the area, but the guy was not found.

On Saturday early morning, Zebulon police arrested Victor Antwan Perez, 23, of Wendell on charges of robbery with a dangerous weapon and assault by pointing a gun, authorities stated.

" Detectives have actually been working tirelessly for the last three weeks," a news release from authorities stated. "We understand crimes of this nature cause a sense of worry in our community. We understood an arrest was needed to bring back a sense of peace for the personnel at PNC and neighbors who live near the bank."
The Wendell Police Department and the FBI helped in the case.
Perez is being held without bond at the Wake County Jail. His very first court date is set for Monday.
