A family in Greenville is urgently seeking assistance to locate Samantha Jo Assisi, a 32-year-old mother who vanished in June. Her disappearance has left her three children heartbroken and her family frantic for answers.
On June 10, Samantha was supposed to check into an inpatient treatment facility in the Bronx. However, her family recently learned that she never arrived. This troubling news has intensified their worry, as they describe it as completely out of character for her to be away from her children for this long.
“Samantha Jo has three children who deeply miss their mother,” her family shared. “We are devastated and desperately want her back. It’s unlike her to be gone this long, and we fear for her safety.”
Due to her status as an adult, the NYPD has been unable to assist the family in their search. They are relying solely on their own limited resources and the support of friends to find Samantha. “We need your help,” they implored the community.
The family believes that Samantha may have been staying at shelters near the New York City Port Authority or around 125th Street in Harlem during early July. She also has ties to St. Albans, Vermont, which may provide additional leads in the search.
Brittany Graziosi, a cousin of Samantha, shared the family's deep roots in the area, stating, “We grew up on Linden Ave. Samantha Jo’s grandparents still live there.” The family has faced tragedy before, having lost a 20-year-old cousin, Tyler Sellers, in 2015. Their past experiences only deepen their resolve to find Samantha and bring her home safely.
The family is appealing to anyone with information about Samantha’s whereabouts to reach out via email at findsamanthajo@gmail.com. Every small piece of information could be crucial in this ongoing search.
