Disneyland's renowned Splash Mountain trip, which has thrilled and soaked millions of parkgoers because 1989, will close for excellent on May 31, officials have revealed.
The closure allows work to begin on a new attraction-- Tiana's Bayou Adventure-- which will remake the ride using the style of the "Princess and the Frog" movie's continuing story. The trip will also be remade at Walt Disney World. The Splash Mountain tourist attraction in Florida closed in January.

In June 2020, Disney announced that the U.S. versions of the ride would be replaced with a style based upon Disney's 2009 movie The Princess and the Frog. The new ride, which will be entitled Tiana's Bayou Adventure, is anticipated to open at both Disneyland and Magic Kingdom in late 2024.

Designers are preparing to include dozens of new animatronic figures to the reimagined trip, in addition to music and even the smell of New Orleans beignets.
In addition to Princess Tiana, returning characters from the film include Prince Naveen, Mama Odie, Louis, Eudora, Charlotte, "Big Daddy," the King and Queen of Maldonia, and Prince Ralphie.
