Raleigh has unique significance.
The efficiency benefits the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Leesville Road High School freshman, Lucas Casterline, is raising money for the company.
" We understood that we wanted to do something that included the community, so we could raise a lot more awareness and get more people involved," Casterline described.
His parents, who have actually been big fans of the band Weekend Excursion for years, suggested connecting to the regional band to see if they could do a concert to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Drummer Cas Edmunds said the band didn't be reluctant to participate the fundraising effort.
" We're a band that has been playing together considering that we were about Lucas's age. In high school in the mid-1990s, this band was formed, so to be able to still be doing it and be involved in something for such a fantastic cause like the LLS. We're thrilled," he said.
Casterline said the Rialto is donating the space for the concert which is scheduled for Saturday March 9. While Casterline's moms and dads at first recommended Weekend Excursion for the show, the show is anticipated to bring in fans of all ages.
" I think there's going to be a great variety from teenagers to seniors," kept in mind Edmunds.
They hope the program will make a distinction in the lives of individuals with blood cancers.

" I know a lot of people think more youthful individuals, specifically teens, aren't actually that associated with their neighborhood," stated Casterline. "No matter what age you are, you can still assist and be involved and help others."
Edmunds included, "Gen. Z and Gen. X can do things together and raise cash for a fantastic cause."
