The Homewood High School Patriot Marching Band is gearing up for an exhilarating experience as they receive an invitation to the prestigious “Grandaddy of Them All” — the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California! This incredible opportunity marks a significant milestone for the band and its talented students.

Homewood's Remarkable History at the Rose Parade

The Homewood Patriot Band is not new to the Rose Parade scene; in fact, this marks their 6th appearance in this illustrious event, which has been delighting audiences since 1890. With over 375 students, the Homewood Band proudly holds the title of the largest band in Alabama.

• 2022 Highlight: The band led the parade after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
• National Performances: The band is well-known for its participation in major holiday parades across the U.S., including the iconic Macy’s Parade.
• International Ventures: Just this year, the band also showcased their talent at the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Dublin, Ireland.
