CLEVELAND-- For well over a century-- going back to 1842--
Cleveland's St. Patrick's Day parade has showcased Irish culture. And this Sunday's occasion was no various.
Regardless of some seasonal Northeast Ohio weather condition (sunny and then snowy and after that warm once again), countless people could not be hindered from converging on downtown
Cleveland dressed up in green.
" Everyone gets together and they're happy for joy and all the battles that everybody has gone through," parade-goer Thomas Shannon told BNN of the occasion.
The occasion began just after 2 p.m., rolling down Superior Avenue.
On display screen as ever was a bevy of colorful floats, numerous first responders, marching bands and even standard Irish dancers.
