Juvenile killed in Vallejo collision

(FOX40.COM) - - A juvenile who remained in the guest's seat of a 2005 Toyota Tundra was eliminated Friday morning after the chauffeur lost control of the vehicle and struck a center mean, according to the Vallejo Police Department.

On Sept. 1 at roughly 6:32 a.m. Vallejo PD said they got a call concerning a solo injury crash near Columbus Pkwy and Redwood Pkwy. After impact the automobile rolled over and came to rest in the opposite lane of traffic.

Police state the juvenile chauffeur was transported to a local healthcare facility to be treated for their injuries. The juvenile guest was stated deceased at the scene. The decedent's name is kept due to their age.

The driver of the Tundra is complying with the investigation and drugs and/or alcohol do not appear to be a factor, authorities reported.

Vallejo PD stated the collision is an active examination. Cops say this is the 6th fatal traffic collision in the city of Vallejo in 2023.
