Knife-wielding guy detained in grocery store assault in San Bernardino County

A knife-wielding man was apprehended after attacking somebody in a San Bernardino County grocery store on Wednesday.

Authorities received reports of an altercation at a Food 4 Less on the 20100 block of Bear Valley Road in Apple Valley around 1 p.m.

Employees told San Bernardino County deputies the suspect, David Manuel Iagulli, 42, had participated in an altercation with another person at the store.

He ended up being argumentative when workers asked Iagulli to leave. He took out a knife before punching the victim and threatening, a 45-year-old male, a number of times, authorities said.

He fled the grocery store before authorities came to the scene. The victim did not require hospitalization.

Deputies later located Iagulli in a neighboring neighborhood where he was taken into custody. He was jailed for attack with a fatal weapon and scheduled into the High Desert Detention.
