Korean fried chicken franchise bb.q Chicken opening in West Little Rock in April

Korean fried chicken franchise bb.q Chicken will be opening its first Arkansas place in April in the former David's Burgers area at 101 S. Bowman Road.

Not to be puzzled with barbecue chicken, "bb.q" stands for "Best of the Best Quality." The dining establishment was developed in South Korea in 1995 and expanded into the U.S. market in 2014. It is currently running more than 160 locations in the U.S., according to its website.

The menu uses both bone-in and boneless wings, along with entire chicken with flavors such as Gang-Jeong, a hot soy-based sauce; Gangnam, a black pepper sauce; and Galbi, which the menu refers to as a Korean classic that's sweet, mouthwatering and smoky.

Little Rock's franchise operator Han Cho grew up in South Korea and said he remembers his moms and dads bringing home bb.q Chicken about once a week when he remained in middle school and high school. He strongly advises buying the chicken with the restaurant's Secret Sauce.

" That's what I eat whenever," Cho said. He explained it as sweet and tasty and stated he likes including it to rice and never leaves a drop behind.

Included flavors also include Soy Garlic, Hot Mala and Cheesling. The previous comes cleaned with sweet cheeses (grab additional napkins, the menu states).

The menu also includes Kimchi Fried Rice and Ddeok-Bokki, a Korean street food made from rice cakes and fish cakes in a spicy and sweet chili decrease.

Cho said the opening date depends upon a fire marshal assessment today, then a health department assessment early next week. He's enthusiastic the dining establishment will be open by April 9.

Cho stated the dining establishment will provide complete service and have 14 beers on tap and about 10 beer choices in bottles. The dining establishment will provide happy hour ($ 2.00 off per beer) Mon.-Fri. Cho said one room is sized to accommodate 6 to eight individuals and the bigger space will be readily available for up to 12 people.
