LAGUNA HEIGHTS, Texas (BNN)-- A regional business is giving out food to Laguna Heights residents following the weekend twister damages.
Grubz on the Go handed out complimentary barbeque plates on Sunday to location residents.
Robert Reyes Jr., a local of Laguna Heights and owner of Grubz on the Go said they are giving an assisting hand to the neighborhood.
" Unfortunately all of us felt this. A lot of homes were harmed, so we are doing what we can," Reyes stated. "This is something small we can do for the neighborhood, a great deal of individuals came out to contribute."
Many individuals came out to contribute and assist out the business to offer the chicken and sausage plates to the neighborhood in their time in requirement.
Reyes stated the recent event was regrettable and he felt he wished to give the neighborhood back.
" When whatever occurred, we're just a 3 streets away, I got up and all I might do is thank God," Reyes said. "I called a few of my buddies. and informed them, ‘‘ Man if something put it in my heart, y' all are going to call me crazy, but I want to do a free food giveaway."
Extreme storm and flood threat continues
Reyes shared his plans on Facebook.
" I resembled let me see what I can do just on social networks, so I reach to Facebook, I shared a post. Next thing you understand, that post is going crazy and now here we are," Reyes said.
He said his small company will be accepting donations to return to the neighborhood including food, clothing, knapsacks and school supplies.
