The Arkansas State Police on Friday reported an individual dead after an officer-involved shooting on Thursday, Nov. 16. An investigation is underway.
The victim of the shooting was 39-year-old Jeremy Dale Adams. According to the report from the state police, Saline County deputies reacted to a home in Shannon Hills where Adams was supposedly intoxicated and "making terroristic dangers."
Adams was then "combative" and resisted deputies' orders, according to the report. Deputies utilized a taser on Adams, and one deputy shot Adams several times. He was flown to UAMS in
Little Rock and passed away around 7:15 p.m
. If the use of deadly force against Adams was constant with Arkansas law, a prosecuting lawyer will figure out. The Saline County Sheriff's Office wasn't immediately readily available to respond to questions Friday. The state authorities did not release the names of the deputies.
