What You Need to Know About Early Voting

The early voting period will last for nine days, ending on Sunday, November 3, 2024. During this time, registered voters can visit any early voting location in Hudson County. Here’s a quick overview of the early voting hours:

  • Monday to Saturday: 10 AM - 8 PM
  • Sundays: 10 AM - 6 PM

According to the Hudson County Clerk, early in-person voting is a great option for those who may be out of town on election day or for anyone who wants to avoid long lines at their polling location.

Early Voting Locations in Jersey City

If you're in Jersey City, here are the locations where you can vote early:

  • Bethune Center: 140 Martin Luther King Drive
  • Hank Gallo Community Center: 175 Lincoln Park
  • Hudson County Plaza: 257 Cornelison Ave.
  • City Hall Annex: 4 Jackson Square/39 Kearney Ave.
  • City Hall: 280 Grove St.
  • Moose Lodge 266: 60 West Side Ave.
  • Pershing Field Community Center: 816 Summit Ave.

Vote-By-Mail: Another Convenient Option

For those who may have difficulty getting to a polling place, Hudson County voters can apply for a Vote-By-Mail ballot. Here are the important deadlines:

  • By Mail Application Deadline: October 29, 2024
  • In-Person Application Deadline: 3 PM on November 4, 2024

Once you receive your ballot, you can return it in one of three ways:

  • Mail it back (must be postmarked by 8 PM on November 5)
  • Drop it off at one of the county's Secure Ballot Drop Box Locations
  • Return it directly to the Hudson County Board of Elections Office
