Modesto firefighter injured in fire at house used for marijuana grow operation

(FOX40.COM) - - A Modesto firemen was injured while battling a fire inside a home that was used for a cannabis grow operation.

On Saturday early morning, Modesto Fire Department stated it reacted to a home fire near Prescott Road and Bangs Avenue. Upon arrival, firemens found a two-story 3,400 square feet house with fire throughout the attic and roofing.

Teams stated they at first operated in the "offensive mode, however needed to take out of the structure when the roof collapsed," however were eventually able to fully extinguish the fire.

While working to put out the fire, firemens stated they found that your home was being used as a cannabis grow place which the cause fire is under examination. One firemen was and suffered a small injury dealt with after the incident.
