Modesto home invasion, assault under investigation

(FOX40.COM) - - A home intrusion break-in that caused the assault of 2 people on Monday night is under examination, according to the Modesto Cops Department.

At around 10:30 p.m. officers say they were dispatched to a residence on Floyd Avenue near Roselle Avenue in reaction to reports of a home invasion. "Preliminary information" revealed to law enforcement that two unknown individuals, worn black with their faces concealed, entered the home through an unlocked door and assaulted 2 of the residents.

Authorities say the suspects continued to take money before fleeing. Four other relative who were also present during the occurrence remained unhurt.
