(FOX40.COM) - - A Modesto male remains in custody as a suspect in a shooting that left a man in important condition on Sunday, according to the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Workplace.
At 10:28 p.m., 911 calls were received by dispatchers about an occurrence with a woman and her ex-boyfriend in the 600 block of Santa Fe Avenue.
Sometime after, gunshots were reported in the area and when deputies got here a male was found inside of a vehicle with numerous gunshot injuries.
Deputies provided medical help until fire workers and paramedics showed up on scene to take control of.

The man was transferred to a location hospital while still undergoing life-saving procedures by medical groups.
A 33-year-old
Modesto guy was recognized by deputies as a suspect in the shooting. The male was reported to have actually run away the scene in a Dodge Challenger.

Police were unable to find the man or his car. An arrest warrant was secured for the male due to his presumed connection to the tried murder of the 28-year-old victim.
The suspect was eventually situated in Livermore by investigators and was brought back to Stanislaus County.

He was booked into the Stanislaus County Jail and is dealing with a charge of attempted murder with bail set at $250,000.
