Mt. Fuji is resuming today in its newly designed 3,600-square-foot Breckenridge Village space behind the previous Greenhaw's Men's Wear in the very same building as the Loony Bin Comedy Club.

When the announcement was made in May 2022 that Breckenridge Village had actually been purchased and would be undergoing a multi-million dollar restoration featuring several brand-new dining establishments, lots of questioned what the fate would be of Mt. Fuji, a long time renter of the shopping mall, which was opened in 1986 by Emiko Biggin and partner Bruce Biggin.

After working and training in Japanese dining establishments in Dallas, siblings Aaron Shota Jackson and Yusuke Jackson purchased Mt. Fuji in August 2022. The Jackson bros grew up in Little Rock and remember doing their homework in Mt. Fuji while their mom Fusae waited tables.
A news release from last year stated the brand-new owners planned to keep a number of the items Mt. Fuji is known for while continuing to drive the food forward based upon their previous experience and travels. The reviews have been favorable.

Aaron and Yusuke were working at the old area when the March 31 twister struck the shopping mall. Both of their vehicles were amounted to, and the restaurant was closed for about six weeks while the roofing was fixed and HVAC units were changed.
