Nebraska cannon fodders detain two individuals after high-speed chase in Omaha

About 9:15 a.m. Tuesday, a cannon fodder tried to stop a speeding Jeep Grand Cherokee on the West Dodge Expressway near 132nd Street.

The westbound driver declined to pull over and started going even quicker, the patrol said.

The Jeep topped 100 miles per hour as it continued west, according to the patrol.

It left onto northbound 168th Street, then headed east on Blondo Street.

When authorities state the passenger tossed a knapsack out the window, that's.

The vehicle stopped voluntarily at 156th and Blondo Streets, the patrol said, about five minutes after the chase began.

Troopers lodged and discovered the backpack both occupants in the Douglas County Jail.

The chauffeur, 25-year-old James Speicher of David City, was jailed on suspicion of flight to avoid arrest, willful negligent driving, belongings of an illegal drug and possession with intent to provide.

The passenger, 31-year-old Sabrina Toole Harris of Omaha, was apprehended on suspicion of tampering with physical proof.
