Nebraska deputies mention 2 males implicated of shooting, killing bald eagle

Marneejill/ flickr/ CC BY-SA 2.0 LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN)-- Two males were cited after deputies state they were caught with a dead bald eagle on Tuesday afternoon.

The Stanton County Sheriff's Office states deputies were called out to the Wood Duck Recreation Area on report of a suspicious car.

Deputies spotted the lorry out in a field, and they spoke with two guys.

Authorities later on found a dead American bald eagle in their possession.

Deputies state that the males shot the safeguarded bird in a neighboring area and that the guys said they prepared to cook and eat it.

The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission was contacted us to the area, and staff secured the eagle and the guys's rifle.

The guys, Ramiro Hernandez-Tziquin and Domingo Zetino-Hernandez, both 20 and of Norfolk, were cited for unlawful belongings of an eagle.

Hernandez-Tziquin was likewise cited for driving without a chauffeur's license.

The constable's workplace says the examination is continuous, and more charges could be levied.
