CLEVELAND (BNN) – – Over the next couple months, Cleveland Metropolitan Schools is taking steps to work with more bus chauffeurs for the district.

The school district is hosting a series of recruitment events to broaden its "dedicated group of professional bus motorists," district authorities said in a press release. The occasions started last week.

This comes as numerous school districts across Northeast Ohio and the nation have actually experienced bus chauffeur scarcities since the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to the task listing, expert drives make $19.82 per hour and chauffeur students make $11.84 per hour.
