It's no secret that
Birmingham's tech scene is flourishing, with events like Sloss Tech highlighting some of the finest and brightest minds in the Magic City. To keep that energy going year-round, a group of regional tech specialists have actually come together to bring a brand-new event to the community-- Techs in the City. Workplay, a popular downtown
Birmingham occasion venue, will host the first Techs in the City.
We talked with Chase Morrow, President and cofounder of Deploy Alloy, a regional start-up on an objective to improve the tech neighborhood in
Birmingham. Morrow is among the leading forces making Techs in the City happen, and this occasion has a lot going all out (besides a clever name).

To do that, they're preparing to hold a Techs in the City event quarterly, with the first one remaining in September.
A lot of times the tech neighborhood doesn't get acknowledged for what it's truly worth, and we wish to alter that. We want to make these Tech Stars seem like Tech Stars since that's what they are…… I want to see these tech guys and gals getting patted on the back every day.
We believe that we're in this neighborhood together. So let's develop it and make it more powerful and better and everyone get involved in and get the shovel and begin digging in.
