New parking regulations announced in South Lake Tahoe

(FOX40.COM) - - Residents in parts of South Lake Tahoe may have a simpler time finding parking this ski season as the lakeside city announces a new parking permit system.

Now the City of South Lake Tahoe is revealing their Residential Parking Permit Program in parts of the Heavenly Valley area.

" The Heavenly Valley community has experienced increased congestion and parking effects throughout cold weather," the city composed in a press release.

This new program will consist of seasonal no-parking zones and seasonal property license zones.

The seasonal no-parking zones will shut off one side of streets that end up being inaccessible when vehicles are parking along both sides. Some streets might not allow parking on either side if they are extremely narrow.
