Northeast Ohio snow parking prohibits

Early Tuesday morning, some Northeast Ohio communities began releasing parking restrictions to more quickly allow snowplows to clear streets and emergency situation automobiles to get through.

Cleveland Chief Director of Public Safety Karrie Howard declared a parking ban for the city effective from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 28.

Stopped and parked cars will be limited and restricted on city streets with posted white and red signs.

" Vehicles left parked in the roadway prevent snowplows from clearing streets, which can make driving down these streets difficult. Resulting traffic jams and gridlock can hinder reaction by emergency situation vehicles. For this factor, residents are encouraged to avoid parking cars on all city streets to permit snowplows adequate time to remove snow and ice from the roads. Automobiles in infraction are subject to citation and towing," checked out a press release.
