(FOX40.COM)-- A staff member of the Yuba County Prison in Northern California was apprehended on suspicion of smuggling drugs into the jail.
The Yuba County Sheriff's Dept. said the civilian staff member, who is 33, was apprehended on Wednesday after being interviewed by investigators and is charged with bringing narcotics into a reformatory.
The clerk who was detained has actually been employed at the jail considering that January 2022 and was appointed as a going to clerk, the agency said.
The prison facility lies in Marysville, about 45 miles north of Sacramento.
