One injured in crash with garbage truck near Waverly

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – – One individual was hurt Monday early morning in a crash involving a trash truck near Waverly.

The crash happened on Highway 6 near the Interstate 80 Waverly interchange around 10:15 a.m

. A Nebraska State trooper stated a vehicle went through the intersection and "didn't yield the immediately" to an oncoming trash truck.

A passenger had injuries that were not-life threatening. The crash shut down northbound Highway 6 while authorities reacted to the crash.
