Celebration of New Beginnings

On October 1, a series of celebrations marked the official start of this partnership across all five hospitals. These events allowed employees from both Orlando Health and Brookwood Baptist Health to mingle and learn more about one another, fostering a sense of unity and shared purpose.

Thibaut van Marcke, Senior Vice President of Orlando Health, expressed optimism about the collaboration, stating:

“This is a great day for Brookwood Baptist Health and Orlando Health. Our partnership offers a new day in healthcare for central Alabamians. With our proven track record of successful expansion lifting the care at our partner hospitals, we are dedicated to making this healthcare system the best in the state and beyond.”

Additionally, it was announced that the name of the hospital system will transition from Brookwood Baptist Health to Baptist Health starting in 2025, signaling a new chapter in its history.
