Patchy frost possible Tuesday early morning, rain returns by Friday

HOUSTON, Texas (BNN)-- That "" winter season feel"" is back in Houston, and tonight it will be cold enough for frost to form.
With a clear sky and calm breeze, irregular frost might develop overnight specifically outside the metropolitan heat island of the more industrialized parts of Houston. You might wish to cover or take any cold-sensitive plants inside tonight simply in case. Otherwise, Tuesday will be another bright and bright day with temperatures cautioning into the mid 60s by the afternoon.

What'& #x 27; s the weather condition outlook for Valentine'& #x 27

; s Day?At this time, we anticipate dry weather with an early morning low in the mid-40s and a daytime high near 70. A lovely day remains in store with a mix of sun and clouds on tap ahead of our next rainy weather system.

When does the next rainmaker arrive? This weather condition

system seeks to mainly bring us rain on Friday and early Saturday. It now appears like the heavier rain will stay offshore, so accumulations will likely average less than an inch for the majority of Southeast Texas.

Are we finished with freezes for this winter?Probably not. While we #x & don 27; t have any freezes currently in our 10-day forecast for Houston, we do believe a frost is possible in Southeast Texas on Tuesday morning and once again on Sunday morning. Temperatures in Houston will likely drop into the mid-to-upper 30s on both celebrations, which is cold enough to put frost on the ground and roofs. The next shot of cold air coming down the Plains later on today does not want to have much arctic air mixed in it, so while we can not eliminate a light freeze for some on Sunday early morning, a hard freeze is not anticipated at this time.
